Save a life, save the world
let's rescue humanity together,
support our missions in the Mediterranean
We share the reflections of Aldo Ciani, Mediterranea activist with the Crew of Terra di Roma, published yesterday in Domani, on the shameful words of Minister Lollobrigida.

"In his speech at the Cisal National Congress, the Minister for Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Francesco Lollobrigida, invoked the theory of ethnic substitution. The logic is undeniable: he spoke of fertility incentives, he said literally: 'We cannot give in to the idea of ethnic substitution: Italians are having fewer children, so we replace them with someone else? That's not the way', and then he started talking about immigration, saying that he wasn't against it, but he didn't want illegal immigrants, he was only happy with the decree of eighty thousand a year of flows.
I would like to share with other readers the shiver that ran down my spine.
I went looking for the video: after invoking the theme so dear to conspiracy theorists, supremacists, racists and mass murderers on the other side of the world, he looked around and exclaimed "eh", as if to say "what did I say?", but perhaps also "right no? do you agree?!?".
No minister, we cannot agree!
But perhaps you will not miss the opportunity to explain further: is there such a thing as an Italian ethnic group? What characteristics would it have? And what would be the ethnic characteristics of the replacements? Do we gain or lose by substitution? According to what criteria? What is the scientific basis for this theory? No, that's probably too much, I'll make it simpler: my son was born in Africa, adopted by Italian parents, acquired his nationality without any formalities and has lived in Italy since he was two years old. Should he feel guilty about replacing someone? Will my grandchildren, when and if they are born, replace someone else? If so, does the government have any incentives or disincentives in mind? What do you think about your classmate who is the daughter of French parents? If she gets pregnant, will you send her back to the other side of the Alps or will you accept a French person as a substitute?
Just in case, let us know so we can start adapting".
